A sales associate is an independent contractor - he works on a 100% commission basis, provides his own insurance, computer and vehicle. He also pays his own taxes, etc.

Real estate is a very competitive business and in Mexico, we have an abundance of realtors; therefore, to be successful in this business, you probably are going to have to take business away from someone else. It is necessary that you be aggressive and a self-starter. Whether or not you succeed in this business is tied directly to how hard you want to work.
